Passion Projects
I’m at my happiest when my passions overlap. Here are a couple personal projects that all have 3 things in common: the outdoors, laser cutting and design.
My husband and I both share a mutual love for off-roading, and actually met on a trail (I bet you didn’t know you were getting a love story here). A few years ago, we started making 6”x6” laser engraved tiles for every trail that we accomplish.
This layered wood art piece was made as a donation towards Access Gallery’s annual fundraising event. Artists and designers are given a 12”x12” MDF board to create a piece of artwork of any kind.
This 3D poster illustrates the topography of Quandary Peak, my first 14’er (mountain summit over 14,000 feet). It was a fun project that blended my passion for the outdoors with my love for laser cutting. As an environmental designer, I wanted to create a poster that played with dimension, and shadow; a piece that would change composition depending on the angle it is viewed at.
